Scrubs Coming Back?

August 25th 2009 04:17

Now just when we had thought that "Scrubs" was gone from us forever, and that we'd never hear the Janitor's maniachal laughter down the halls, or one of countless Dr. Cox rants, or J.D. screaming "EEEEAAAAAAGLLLLLEEE" as he flies by on a gurney, talks are beginning about a ninth season of the popular ABC show.

From what I've read, original cast members like Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Neil Flynn,. and John C. McGinley have expressed interest in returns, but as reduced roles. Executive producer Bill Lawrence might also return, but onyl in a partial role if his new comedy series "Cougar Town" starring Courtney Cox takes off.

So keep your eyes peeled, we may not have seen the last of our favorite doctors and nurses. Only time will tell.

Early Sex Key to Happier Marriages?

August 14th 2009 17:05

I have a theory, you guys, and I would love to hear all of your opinions on it.

As everyone knows, the number one cause of divorce is marriage, and we don't have all that good of a marriage lifespan these days.

Divorce is catching up with us. Back in April 2nd of this year, the Web site of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention had the marriage rate at 7.5 per 1,000 total population, and the divorce rate at 3.6 per 1,000 population.

Granted, at face value, the rates don't look that bad, but I want to take a look at some of the real motivations behind marriage.

Now, I'm a ripe age of 21 years old, and I'm no where NEAR ready to get married, and I know this. I'm also a guy who won't have sex until after he's married.'

Yeah, I feel the tension a lot, I won't deny it, I'm a guy after all. Cut me some slack. But I'm still not letting my drive for the bed fueling my decision to tie the knot. I look at things like money, where we;re gonna live, who will end up supporting who, how long 'till we have kids, etc.

But some of my friends just a few years older than me are making the decision to get married, and have openly told me they are counting down the days 'till they can do the horizontal tango under the sheets.

So, my question is, are people rushing to the altar so they can rush to the bed?

Is that one of the reasons why divorce rates are so high? After the steamy honeymoon night, do people suddenly realize that they can't do this after all?

So then I have to wonder, do people who would dare do the forbidden sex before marriage schtick go on to lead happier marriages.

I mean, if you're just thinking about the honeymoon and not, oh I don't know, the rest of your lives together, maybe you should just get it over with now.

HAVE SEX!!!!

Then, when you guys are all done and over it, if you guys are still wanting to get married, now with only the rest of your lives to look forward to, will you have that happy time together and go the distance?

Perhaps sex is the magic, marriage-saving X factor.

Take it or leave it.

Obamacare in All Its Assumed Infamy

August 5th 2009 01:59
Obviously no one blog post is going to settle the issues on the current health care "upheaval", for lack of a better term, going on in our government today.

I did not come here to praise or condemn our president's ideas about our health care. That is not my job
