In an extreme case of not receiving daddy's approval for her dating choices, a 17-year-old girl was undoubtedly horrified when it became public knowledge that her father castrated the 57-year-old man she was dating.
According to London's Telegraph, 47-year-old Helmut Seifert, a Russian native now living in Germany, pleaded guilty to attacking Phillip Genscher after going to his home and, with the aid of two co-workers, castrating him with a bread knife.
Prior to this incident, an enraged Seifert lodged a complaint with police authorities when he received an anonymous phone call revealing that his teenage daughter was dating a man 40 years her senior.
However, when officers informed him they were powerless to intervene, Seifert decided to take matters into his own hands (No pun intended).
After Seifert and his accomplices arrived at his home in northern Germany, Genscher was forced to remove his trousers and Seifert proceeded to castrate his daughter's quinquagenarian beau while he was fully conscious.
Seifert added insult to injury by leaving the scene with Genscher's severed testicles.
"I saw it as my duty as a father", said Seifert, who will go on trial for attempted murder next year.
So to all the current and future fathers out there, what would you do if you found out your 17-year-old daughter was dating a 57-year-old man?
Who do you feel more sorry for in this story: the father, the daughter or the man who will now live the rest of his life as a eunuch?
