The Metrodome will be undergoing extensive renovations after its roof collapsed under the weight of heavy snow Sunday morning.
The Minnesota Vikings (5-7) were scheduled to play host to the New York Giants (8-4) Sunday afternoon.
However, when Minneapolis was struck by a snow storm that resulted in an accumulation of approximately 17 inches, shutting down Minnesota air travel, the Giants' flight was diverted to Kansas City and the game was postponed until Monday evening.
But those plans had to be altered even further when the profuse amount of snow that fell atop the Metrodome resulted in a collapse of the stadium's roof early Sunday morning.
Ultimately, the Giants-Vikings game was moved to Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions, with a kickoff time of 7:20 PM ET Monday evening.
